WOMAD 2023 will be a feast of International and NZ based Music Arts and Dance. The COVID pandemic had caused recent WOMAD's to be cancelled, but this year's event will be a renewal of WOMAD as a truly international event.

EarthSouNZ has been reporting on WOMAD since 2005 with skirmishes to the UK version on the occasional overseas trips and gaps caused by long absences in the US and Scotland.
Interviews with artists have been published in the EarthSouNZ blog, broadcast on the EarthSouNZ radio show and in the "Sometime In Long Island City" blog. A return to Aotearoa New Zealand has rekindled EarthSouNZ as an active force, beginning with a long awaited visit to New Plymouth/ Ngāmotu.
In anticipation of the 202 festival I'm publishing photos and links to some interviews, which will be augmented by reporting on the festival next March.
